The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes offered by participating National Law Universities across India.
CLAT 2027 is the entrance examination for students seeking admission to five-year integrated undergraduate law programmes, such as BA LL.B. (Hons.), BBA LL.B. (Hons.), and other law courses, for the academic year 2027–2028.
Students who have completed Class 12 or are appearing for their Class 12 board examinations in 2027 can apply for CLAT UG, provided they meet the prescribed eligibility criteria.
Why is CLAT Important?
CLAT provides aspiring law students with an opportunity to pursue legal education at prestigious National Law Universities in India. A good CLAT score can help candidates compete for admission to their preferred law schools through the counselling and seat-allocation process.
