What are the changes that CUET UG 2025 can make this year? 

As per the latest article in Times of India, the CUET UG 2025 can undergo major changes. I am enlisting four major changes that NTA can adopt in CUET UG 2025. 

Reduction in foreign language papers 

Requirement for candidates to attempt all questions 

A standardised 60-minute duration for all papers 

A shift back to computer-based test mode 

These revisions would be finalised in consultation with all the stakeholders UGC, NTA, and CUET UG. 

CUET is a single gateway exam for all the central, state and private universities. With 283 universities adopting CUET in 2024 and over 13.47 lakh registrations, its importance as a unified admission gateway remains undisputed. 

NTA has faced criticism in executing CUET UG tests since 2022. The first year was fraught with logistic problems; in 2023 there were errors in the paper and in 2024 the cancellations of the exams in Delhi was frustrating for the parents and students in equal measure. 

We expect that NTA will bring some positive and welcoming changes this year in the CUET UG test pattern.
