CUET Common University Entrance Test
The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) is being introduced for admission into all UG Programmes in all Central Universities under the Ministry of Education, (MoE). The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) will provide a common platform and equal opportunities to candidates across the country, especially those from rural and other remote areas and help establish better connect with the Universities. A single examination will enable the Candidates to cover a wide outreach and be part of the admissions process to various Central Universities.
The eligibility criteria for candidates who will appear for the upcoming CUET (UG) is given below:
Scheme of CUET (UG) Examination
CUET (UG) will be a Computer Based Test (CBT). It will comprise Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). The total marks allotted for each section is 200 and every question will carry 5 marks. There is negative marking and 1 mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. The CUET exam is divided into three sections, namely:

In order to opt for Languages, domain-specific Subjects and General Test, the Candidate must refer to the requirements of his/her intended University.
Important Note: It is not mandatory to choose any one or more of the tests given above. The choice of tests should depend on the course/s opted by the candidate and the University/ies requirements where admission is sought.
Candidates can choose the medium of the examination while filling in the online application form. The tests are offered in 13 languages (other than the ‘Language’ test) and candidates have to choose any 1 language from the list given below. Candidates should go through specific University’s eligibility criteria before selecting the medium of examination. Candidates can choose any 1 language as their medium of exam from the following list:

The exam will be conducted in 2 slots per day as per the schedule released by the NTA. Details of the duration and exam timings are given below.
